Overview

Barton College is a private educational institution located in Wilson, North Carolina. It was founded in 1902 as the Atlantic Christian College and serves as a liberal arts college. It is composed of seven schools and two departments: the School of Nursing, School of Allied Health and Sport Studies, School of Social Work, School of Education, School of Business, School of Humanities, School of Sciences, Department of Art and Design, and the Department of Communication and Performing Arts. The college has around 1,200 students enrolled in all the schools and departments.

The college provides a strong academic focus and various opportunities for leadership development to the students. It offers 36 undergraduate and graduate degrees in over 60 academic programs and 6 professional and licensure programs.
