Belmont University is a private university that is located in Nashville, Tennessee. It was founded in 1890 as Belmont Women's College and became a university in 1991. The university offers undergraduate degrees in more than 90 academic majors through nine colleges and over 25 Masters and five PhD programs. The subjects in which education is provided include Law, Education, Pharmacy, Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, Theology & Christian Ministry, Health Sciences, Business, Music, Architecture, Art, and Design, among others.

The university is a student-focused community offering that is home to more than 9,000 students coming from all the states in the US and more than 33 countries.
