The University of Kansas is a top-notch public research university that has its main campus in Lawrence, Kansas. Additionally, there are two other branch campuses and several educational and research sites spread throughout the region. It was founded in 1865 and is currently a part of the Association of American Universities. 

The university offers more than 400 degree and various certificate programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels through its 14 academic schools. Lawrence is the sixth-largest city in the US state of Kansas.
